So, how about this idea for remote file search?

Basically, I'm having flashbacks to the late 90s.
In this case, it's specifically about the display.
Of course, my dad (who gets home at 5:15 or so) is also clueless about what needs to be purchased at the grocery store, and so I'm just having to make do with what's around.
And what's around? Salmon!
Listen to it and other entries when it goes live sometime on May 20, 2004 (or find it in the archive after May 27 or so).
Back to pwm. Only I'm mitigating the reasons I switched away from pwm to begin with by just not having it automatically tab-group Mozilla windows, and by using Mozilla's built-in tabs. (Because Mozilla/gtk/whomever people are dumb and don't set dialog boxes to be transient, so pwm groups them the same as browser windows, which just doesn't work that well.)
So now I have two layers of Mozilla tabs, which is actually kinda useful in a strange way.
I want to finally get a laptop again, but I don't want something which I'm going to have to send back to Apple for repairs every month...
John: I didn't do any, because you didn't mark any shipments as completed on Friday so I didn't want to muck about doing research as to which ones you'd shipped or not.
Jennifer: I didn't do any shipments then because I wasn't in on Friday!
John: Not my problem.
But my subconscious had other plans, so I made teriyaki grilled salmon today instead. C'est magnifique!
Next step: cancelling the fuck out of my MBNA credit card, paying off my Capital One card (which I'm going to keep since, unlike MBNA, their entire business model isn't attempting to screw everyone over on interest rates and "special promotional offers"), and paying my parents back for my moving expenses. And still having a nice big chunk of change left over. Woo!
9:06 PM I've gotten some flak for being "too negative." In my defense, I was only talking about specific aspects of the OSX 10.3 Finder which suck (and not OSX as a whole), and it's basically a bit of balance for back when I was unconditionally singing OSX's praises. It'd be pretty zealoty of me to only talk about the good stuff, right? And anyway, I only said that it sucks (which means that it has room for improvement), not that it fucking sucks (which means that I hope the programmers get some form of unpleasant venereal disease).
(BTW, the formal definition of a Cecil is enough angry to launch a thousand quits. So 1mCecil = 1000μCecils = enough to make me quit. Sorry for not actually defining my scale earlier.)
