Near-dearth experience (food, travels)
Which, apparently, isn't so easy to find in New York. (It turns out it's 2,000 miles away from Mexico. Who knew?)
Fortunately, Corsendonk, a Belgian ale I'd never heard of (I was attracted to its champagne-esque packaging, to the point that I didn't notice the $7 pricetag for a pint and a half), is plentiful here — and tastes way better.
I also bought a bottle of Manhattan Special Espresso Soda. As I picked up a bottle, one of the locals asked me what it tasted like, thinking I was also a local (still doing the blending-in game; I'm wearing my monochrome outfit right now). I said I had no idea either. Dunno when I'll try it though. The ale has me nice and mellow. :D
Though, after I'd already become quite entrenched in drinking the Corsendonk, Roymond told me of a bar I needed to go to and their specialty drink. That will have to come tomorrow though.
