Realistic expectations ()

It is very unlikely that we will have the game done in time for system launch, though at this rate it shouldn't be extremely late.

In the meantime, Gérard (the company president) has this odd notion that we can get this game done and get the next game done by the end of December. (The next game is way more complicated.)

The frustrating thing is that he never even talks to anyone except Antoine about these things. It's like he's trying to keep some exclusive French club going (both he and Antoine are French) and that us "foreigners" don't matter. Antoine doesn't seem terribly happy with that, either...

I think Gérard really needs to come down from his cloud and attend some of our production meetings now and then. I get the feeling that he's totally abstracted from the whole games-development process at this point, and doesn't realize how much work we're putting in and how much there is left to do.

Yeah, some french people are prone to doing that, unfortunately.

I wish i had surefire tips to deal with it, but unfortunately there aren't any. Why do you think european integration is progressing so slowly? Laughing
