Highlights for Grownups ()

When hyperlink metadata attacks.

Am I the only one reminded of those stories in Highlights where they put a picture of every noun after the noun is used?

At least the post-noun images in Highlights actually related to the words they followed. OK, the magnifying glass seems to mean "news about this," even though you'd think it'd be some sort of search function. The boxes have me stumped, however. Apparently "blue box" is the universal symbol for "go shopping for something that's only vaguely related, if at all, to this."

If only we could apply this hyperlinked graphics technology to text!
