Hiring ()

by fluffy at 11:59 AM
We are looking to hire at least two new game developers, with an emphasis on game logic and tools programming. Candidates should be familiar with development on limited-memory platforms, and show good algorithm development ability.

Our two main projects right now are bringing the Sprung game engine to cellphones (with emphasis on Brew and Symbian) and developing a story-oriented game for the PSP, with some of the same concepts as Sprung.

If you're interested (and I know a few of you out there are!) send your résumé and any other information you think would help (e.g. things you've programmed which demonstrate the skills we may need) to me at magenta@(this domain).

We don't have any specific hiring timetable just yet, but it will probably be sometime in the next month. Also, this isn't an official job listing by any means.

If you've been following my weblog for any period of time you'll already know some of the work and living conditions around here. You'd also be forced to put up with me in real life, where I'm way more abrasive (as if that were even possible!) so, you know. Be careful what you wish for and so on. :)

Also, we're not hiring game designers, artists or musicians at this time; just programmers right now. Of course, programmers who have those other skills would be handy.

If I were 25 and single rather than 39 and married with children...

Lucky there's a family guy
Lucky there's a man who
Positively can do
All the things that make us
Laugh and cry

He's a family guy!

(Sorry, I just had that stuck in my head for some reason.)

I, however, *am* 26 and single.

But also Canadian.

Does your country even remember whan a work visa is now? Confused

Dunno. Even with NAFTA you'd probably still need an H1-B.

Looks like what you'd need to do is get a NAFTA TN work visa and then apply for an H-1B after starting work.
