It's amazing how much mileage I got out of the "nigritude ultramarine" theme considering it was just intended as a short-term bit of silliness and not as anything permanent.
Maybe my <eyes | monitor | personal tastes> just suck, but this scheme has a bit of a contrast problem. Maybe if the plaid were darker all around, or scaled down smaller, or fuzzed out everywhere like it is in the message body.
Heh, your plaid avatar against the plaid background looks like you're doing a chameleon trick (which immediately reminds me of the evil chameleon monster in Monsters, Inc. since I just watched that again the other night...)
Overall I think the contrast needs to be toned down a wee bit.

But contrast is the spice of life! Without contrast everything would all be bland. And stuff.
But yeah, it's a work in progress, like everything else.
And yeah, I was thinking of Caped Chameleon from The Tick when I saw it all put together, like Vladinator posted about.
(I actually haven't seen Monsters, Inc. yet though! Quelle horror! I guess Steve Jobs would never hire me since I haven't seen *every* Pixar film...)
Oh, I'm definitely keeping it plaid for now. I just need to find a good balance between it looking good on calibrated monitors and it not getting too horrible on most peoples'.
This is definitely better (and more "me") than the old theme, anyway. IMO.
