Total: 625561784KiB of storage, after formatting etc. 640GB (597GiB). 0.64TB (0.52TiB).

That's a lot of storage. On a laptop.

(portabilly is my iPod. Media and Backup are the 250GB and 300GB drives, respectively.)

Anyway, for now I'm just going to use Backup as a backup drive for Media (and my system drive), since I don't feel like messing around with my various symlinks/aliases and it's kinda nice to have media access on the faster drive (since Backup is only 5400RPM). So I guess I'll just do weeklyish backups until Media dies for real. Considering how much cooler (and quieter) the drive is running in the new enclosure, I think that'll last a while.

(Media is still running pretty warm, but this enclosure does a much better job of re-radiating the heat out, and there's a lot more air inside and so on.)
