Plaidophile

So, for the last week or so my left leg has been hurting if I put weight on it or lift it up while I'm sitting. This happens now and then but it usually only lasts a couple days. So I've been limping and such, and it's getting pretty obnoxious. Anyone have any ideas, short of going to a doctor and satisfying my deductible for the year?

I've just upgraded to MT 3.2, and I'd like to make sure it still works.

Incidentally, the new UI looks (incrementally) nicer than 3.1's, which was a huge improvement over 2.6's. Unfortunately, as MT gets more complex, the UI also gets more complicated, and now there's all sorts of fun AJAXy stuff which gets in the way now and then (and in the case of my weblog, pointlessly, since I'm still using the old entryID-style permalinks).

I remembered an opensource library (that I'd been evaluating at Ubisoft for an entirely different purpose, actually) which did what the intern had spent all summer programming, and he tried it out and it did it both better and 30x as fast.

So, yay opensource! (For once.)

Until American Airlines stops overbooking every flight by a factor of 2, they are on my shitlist.

My theory was true: given time to practice and the ability to hear myself during a performance, I sound a hell of a lot better.

I still have a lot of room for improvement, but people were actually complimenting me on my guitar playing this time! Hoblit was actually honored to play with me on a song, even, where we both improvised as backup to Roymond's livefight entry, and played off of each other exceedingly well. That totally made the weekend worth it.

Hey, cool, I just noticed that a one-minute vacation I recorded a while ago got posted this week. I guess my philosophical rambling was acceptable. :)

During my commute this morning, a song came up on the station I listen to: A dance mash-up of Axel-F and Crazy Frog.

I have it stuck in my head now. Argh.

There's still some work to be done on the layout, but my new comic is now live, and updating Monday/Wednesday/Friday.
