It's alive! IT'S ALIIIIIVE!!! ()

by fluffy at 12:25 AM
There's still some work to be done on the layout, but my new comic is now live, and updating Monday/Wednesday/Friday.

Regular readers will have seen the genesis of this already.

This is a lot more fun than my stupid journal comic. :)

Things might look a bit wonky if you're running a browser whose name rhymes with "abhorrer."

Actually, things (specifically, div.powered) look a bit wonky even in a modern browser.
#6149 08/01/2005 07:44 am
How so? I tested it in both Firefox and Safari and it stayed in the lower-right corner like it was supposed to.

(Also, it's div#powered. Get your selector names right!)
#6150 08/01/2005 10:01 am powered by...
yeah, the "powered by" is on top of the list of links. Using FF 1.0.6 here.

Daylight SAVING time. Like dog walking time or Fluffy punching time.
#6152 08/01/2005 10:04 am
Oh, right, not everyone has 1920x1200 screens.
#6154 08/01/2005 01:25 pm Yep, res problem I think :-)
Because it also looks fine in 1600x1200. But wonky at 1280x1024.

FF 1.0.6/Linux in the 1600x1200 case, FF 1.0.4/Solaris in the 1280x1024 case.

Well, it should be fixed now. Razz (actually as of my 10 AM post)

Come on... Your journal comics were also really cool. I wonder what some of your new coworkers would look like in comic-land Smile
#6157 08/01/2005 07:16 pm
Yeah, I know. If there's anything comic-worthy I'll do it, but so far nothing's really stood out as needing to be told that way.

I can't read that word without thinking of the late, great Frank Zappa. Smile

I am gross and perverted
I'm obsessed 'n deranged
I have existed for years
But very little had changed
I am the tool of the Government
And industry too
For I am destined to rule
And regulate you

I may be vile and pernicious
But you can't look away
I make you think I'm delicious
With the stuff that I say
I am the best you can get
Have you guessed me yet?
I am the slime oozin' out
From your TV set

You will obey me while I lead you
And eat the garbage that I feed you
Until the day that we don't need you
Don't got for help...no one will heed you
Your mind is totally controlled
It has been stuffed into my mold
And you will do as you are told
Until the rights to you are sold

That's right, folks..
Don't touch that dial

Well, I am the slime from your video
Oozin' along on your livin'room floor

I am the slime from your video
Can't stop the slime, people, lookit me go

Yeah, I think I had that song stuck in my head when I titled it.
#6303 08/25/2005 05:56 pm
I still liked the old journal comics, with the mutant people, complete with tails, and exotic colored skin and hair. Laughing

Since I've been a member of the Barney Bunch on Newgrounds for the last couple months, I have a pretty hilarious idea. We sometimes make "secret episodes" of little kids shows, like Camp Lazlo or Arthur, and they're pretty funny. It would be funny if your next journal comic was a "Secret Episode", and you can put whatever you want in it, as long as it makes everyone laugh their asses off. And don't forget the classic line that comes at the beginning of each Secret Episode: "This is the secret episode of the fluffy comics. It was never shown on fluffy's blog, because it was too funny. WARNING: You must be at least (41,000, 250 million, 3 billion, whatever you want to make it) years old to view."

And while you're making your comic, here's some Secret Episodes that are 100% guaranteed to make you laugh your ass off: http://img474.imageshack.us/my.php?image=arthuesecretepisode5ur.swf http://img520.imageshack.us/my.php?image=renandstimpydeletedep8eu.swf

Those were pretty stupid.
#7300 04/18/2006 05:24 pm
WHAT!!!!??? Those were hilarious!!!! Especially Arthur!!!! I don't think you really paid attention to it!!! Mad And the whole Drew Pickles from Rugrats thing, well, since he's basically the Barney Bunch's gay mascot, he's usually in almost every BB flash.
#7301 04/18/2006 05:38 pm
Yyyyyeah they were exceedingly dumb. Sorry.
#7302 04/18/2006 05:46 pm
And yes, I am a fan of Arthur. Just like my sister is obsessed with Dr. Seuss books. Turns out Dr. Suess had a Japanese pen pal, according to some Horton the Elephant book; "To my good friend, Mitsugi Nakamura, who lives in Kyoto, Japan." Cool, huh? Cool

It's okay. Was any of it funny? I liked the part where they took the Arthur PC game and said the bowl of spaghetti was actually "a bowl of Mr. Ratburn's (Arthur's teacher) testicles and shit"!!! Laughing
#7304 04/18/2006 06:43 pm
None of it was funny at all. It was like what a demented third-grader would do after discovering Flash and a speech synthesis application.
#7309 04/19/2006 02:43 pm
Not necessarily. An 8 year old wouldn't be able to know all that stuff at his age anyway, and the speech synthesis would sound very weird, since he can't spell very good. The Barney Bunch just like to make funny gay Flash hentai about little kid's shows, like Barney, Drew Pickles (Angelica's dad off of Rugrats), Arthur, Clifford, Ronald McDonald, The Wiggles, SpongeBob Squarepants, Dragon Tales, etc. You'll find a lot of other hilarious Flash movies at the Barney Bunch's website. Here's the link: http://thebarneybunch.tripod.com/

Hilarious in the way that those two things you posted here were supposed to be hilarious, or...?

Well, if the Barney Bunch didn't make you laugh, here's something else off of Newgrounds that might: http://www.newgrounds.com/collection/retardedanimalbabies.html It sure made me laugh! Very Happy
