Plaidophile

So, tonight, nobody else in my usual karaoke crowd showed up, and I tell you what, they missed out something fierce.

There was a going-away party for some guy named Tyler (who was apparently a regular there a while ago, before I started showing up) since he's moving to Cincinnati. He was drunk off his ass. So were the other dozen or so people in his entourage.

Mostly I tried to keep to myself, though one of the girls in his entourage (the one who is sitting on him in that last picture above) kept on insisting I dance with her. She kept on doing hand-holdy stuff with me which always makes me feel somewhat uncomfortable. She also did a lot of booty-shaking. She also had several loud disagreements with Tyler over the course of the evening. It was just plain bizarre. Tyler also "sang" twice. Both times were what was ostensibly "Sweet Home Alabama," though all he did was shout "Alabama" repeatedly (often while lying down on the stage).

When I did "Undone (The Sweater Song)," Tyler joined me up on stage and just kind of sat there, so I incorporated Tyler into the lyrics. He didn't seem to understand why I was telling everyone how to destroy is sweater though.

Anyway, later on they all suddenly left for some other bar and the place was suddenly very empty, aside from one of the other regular groups, which I hung out with, mostly because they were familiar faces but also partly because on the main floor there was this creepy ultra-drunk (and possibly stoned) guy who kept on asking me to go outside with him.

It was a very weird night, and this only scratches the surface of the bizarreness.

And the rest of the PoE crowd missed it!
