American Idol songwriting entry ()

The Only Difference — obviously I don't expect this to be the final arrangement that the producers make of it, should they accept it, but I couldn't manage to make it actually sound like the overwrought epic chorus that they'd want to turn it into. Also the drums are kinda meh but they're just a bunch of loops. This is basically a sketch, which is what the Idol folks said they wanted.

This is fantastic. I think this might be one of the best songs you've ever written. Once it's cleaned up a bit, fully produced... man.

Since the entries were posted (and they all suck; it's clear what sort of song the Idol producers wanted for this contest) I'm moving this post public. Whee.
