STUFF FOR SALE (random)
by at 12:44 AM
Since I'm moving to San Francisco in about a month I need to cull some possessions, so for anyone in Seattle who's interested:
- Full-size futon with a firm mattress. Converts to a bed. I got this my first night in NYC. Makes a great guest bed and/or office couch. Comes with mattress cover. $50
- Glass-top L-shape desk. Sleek and modern. $50
- Nintendo GameCube, jet black, barely used, $75. Comes with crappy s-video cable in addition to the usual composite cable. Also one controller.
- Sony PlayStation 2, old-style (tray-load), with 40GB hard drive, network adaptor, Linux, and an 8MB memory card (needed to boot Linux). You can reformat the hard drive and the memory card for use with other things I guess. Also comes with USB mouse and keyboard. $150
- Philips 1080p upconverting DVD player, with component and HDMI output. Barely used. $50
- Cyberhome DVD player (the kind that's like $40 at Best Buy). Region-unlocked. $15.
- Various plants, free to a good home. I have a basil plant which grows way too fast for its own good, a rosemary bush, a sage bush, a barely-sprouted garlic plant, and a dead somethingorother which now has weeds taking over its pot (it's a very nice pot though).
- Coleman Tailgate portable gas grill. Takes compact liquid propane canisters (which are like $3 at Fred Meyer). Handy and convenient and etc. $80, including a bunch of extra accessories.
- 735 square foot 2BR/1Bath condominium in a really great location in Ballard. Top floor unit. Includes a parking space and great neighbors. $287,000.

In writing to say sorry about your bike. I saw your news - so, sorry about your bike and congrats about your upcoming move to san fran. Sounds like you will be leaving ballard pretty soon!?
If your plants need homes - I love those fast growing pots of dirt - I'll take any of your plants.
Hope you are well. Let me know if you need help moving things.

Sadly, the situation at Amazon degenerated pretty badly and I needed out, but all my networking was down in San Francisco, so that's where I got all my interviews. I'll be leaving at the end of August or so (basically as soon as I can sell my condo).
Moving-wise I'm just going to have some full-service movers do everything. I'm getting reimbursed for moving expenses so I'd might as well keep things simple for myself. (I'm just getting rid of the futon and desk because I'm not terribly fond of them anymore and so there's no reason to pay to get them moved too.)
I'm also keeping my fingers crossed for some sort of miracle dream-job offer in Seattle, so you can stay here! Damn, just when I was getting to know you...
