More reasons to abolish DST ()

Not only is it jarring and confusing, but it turns out that it doesn't save energy at all.

I'd rather just make it permanent. But yeah, the time change should go.

When I become God Emperor, I'll put that on the list.

Well it's one of those things where it's all about relativism and so on. It doesn't matter what the timebase is, as long as it's consistent.

It allows kids to walk to school NOT in the dark. That's about it.

When DST starts, they walk to school in the dark, because they get up an hour earlier. Eventually the sunrise catches up with that and they walk to school in the light. If it weren't for DST they would have never had to walk to school in the dark.

Yeah me too... I hate the whole twice-a-year time change thing. For seventeen years I didn't have to do the time-change thing and it was great... never had any problems with keeping the same time all year round. Then I moved.

Kids don't walk to school these days anyway because of our hysterical over protective culture.
