Two condos today (random)
The first was a recent conversion from apartments. 1 bedroom, decent size kitchen, laid out pretty okay, although it still seemed like it'd feel a bit constrained, and while it was 900 square feet it certainly didn't feel like it. List price $515K, in a nice part of the Mission.
The second has always been a condo, and has been occupied by the current owners since it was built in the mid-80s. It's HUGE, both in actual space (1042 square feet!) and perceived (it makes very good use of the space). In a very nice part of the Mission (on the edge of Bernal Heights), for $529K. Its only downsides are that there's no vent for a dryer (the current owners use a clothesline) and that the kitchen was recently refloored with some fugly photolaminate as part of a complete remodel. There's not much of a view to speak of but it's nestled in a very quiet pocket (you'd never know it was right on Mission St) and there's a nice common yard.
I am pretty sure I will be making an offer on the second one, but first I have to find out if I can get a loan for that much (I might not be able to).
