Random chance put you in peril but God saved you? To me it seems more like it's God (i.e. random chance) that put you in peril and the skill of the pilot that saved you.

I always liked how "act of god" is used legally as a synonym for "natural disaster".

Ummmm, that's not exactly how GPS works, even if you neglect for a moment the fact that his phone would be submerged.

I figure, it's the Hudson. If they can find dead hookers in it, they would probably have no problem finding me.

Yeah, I noticed that too, but I mostly just wanted to rant about how yet again everyone's calling this a miracle and crediting God for the fine work done by a skilled human, and ignoring that no matter how you slice it, if there's a "God" (in the Judeo-Christian sense), that is what caused the crash to happen to begin with.
