bad juice ()

by fluffy at 10:41 PM
i drank some juice which was kind of old and it tasted funny, and then half an hour later I started to feel numb and weak, so I called 911. the paramedics came and asked me a few questions and even though I'm feeling bad they decided it was just 'bum juice' and that I shouldn't worry, even thoughmy face is pretty much completely numb. I don't think that's a good sign and I'm feeling a pretty weak, and also annoyed that the paramedics were kind of insulting about it.

anyway i am definitely dumping the juice (except I would hope that they'd have wanted to test it for botulism toxin or something)

so if you do't see me post to twitter for a while you'll probably know why (i hope this isn't my last entry)

The Internet says I probably won't die but I might have a shitty weekend. Just what I need after a hellishly long work week

If I drank numb juice, I'd probably just lie down and give it a day before getting emergency services involved. That attitude will probably get me killed someday, but whatever. They didn't bill you for the dispatch, did they?

I slept pretty well (although I had some weird dreams) and now I feel fine. I normally don't panic about stuff but this felt very, very scary and "oh shit I think I'm going to die." The funny thing is I mostly worried that I'd never finish my webcomic. My priorities are screwed up.

They didn't charge me or anything. I mean, that's what taxpayer money is for, and it's not like the incident caused any material expense or whatever (the paramedics were already working and on-duty and whatever). Considering how fast they arrived I'm pretty sure they were already in the neighborhood anyway.
