How does this even happen? ()

by fluffy at 8:29 PM
Some time today I appear to have lost a filling. I have no idea when, where, or how. This time it's a rather large one, and there seems to be a bit of tooth rot underneath (which probably partially explains the "how" at least). So of course I've left a message on my dentist's "dental emergency" line. It would of course be completely unsurprising if I can't get it taken care of tomorrow, although he's normally open on Saturday so hopefully that will work.

All I know is when I ate some soup for dinner (because I have that cruddy cold that's been going around) it hurt like a mother, and later when I had some tea it was worse, so I looked in the mirror and, yep, big gap where a bunch of enamel and/or filling used to be.

At least I still have the ibuprofen that I eventually got after last time (which is good because the grocery store is already closed for Christmas). Sigh.

Between having this horrible cold/cough and this new dental issue, I am having a pretty crappy holiday so far.

On the plus side, all the dark junk rinsed away with some (not TOO painful) mouthwash, so it's probably not as bad as I thought.

That image would be WAY TMI if I wasn't already desensitized to photos of teeth with parts missing owing to my own dental adventures. c_c

Try to visit a dentist and help out to clean your tooth, or worse it will be pulled out from your mouth.
