Working on an album (music)
Since Song Fight Live is coming up in a few months (June 11-12 in New York!), I'm trying to get another album done by then. I've got about 2/3 of a decent-sized album right now. This is a great time for people with specific requests of back-catalog songs of mine to put in.
Here's what I have so far:
- Sorry to Inform You
- Everybody Calm Down
- Sometimes It's Hard to Keep Yourself Moving
- You Believed It Yourself
- Double Take
- Moscow, Idaho
- Paper Thin
- 120MPH
and here's the songs I'm also intending to do:
- There Is Safety in Numbers
- Put Cindy Back on the Bus (with the profanity modified since I don't want a single swear word to "taint" the whole album as "explicit")
- Husky Youth
- All Tan
Obviously I'm going for a mixture of old and new stuff, but trying to bias more towards new stuff. Of course, all my recent stuff that's album-worthy is already represented up there or on foodsexsleep, but maybe there are other songs that people specifically want to hear right away?
My original candidate list was way longer, but I had to trim it down, and for now I feel like only doing a few "classic" songs per album since having things I've already written a long time ago are a great way to fill things out in order to keep a nice mixture. Also, there's lots of songs that just plain don't need re-recording, or at least I don't think they do, but you might disagree.
So, any requests?
