Ibuprofen liqui-gels (food)

This morning I dropped an ibuprofen liqui-gel capsule on the floor, so after taking a second one I decided to use the first one to finally answer some burning questions.
- It is a (very thick) liquid surrounded by a (surprisingly hard to cut) gelatin capsule
- The liquid itself is transparent and uncolored, not blue
- It tastes terrible

The worst liquigel I ever bit into was an immodium, about a year ago. It's astringent and fiery at the same time. That's an experiment I'll not repeat.
So does a plastic soda straw...
