Who knew ()

Apparently having silly, subtle stuff automatically happen when a blog entry is linked to externally, and having certain images on my site prevented from being hotlinked (mostly ones which don't work well out of their original context), is exactly the same as obsessively checking my referrer stats and changing or taking things down whenever someone says something mean about me on the Internet. Oh no, someone's linking to me! On the web! Whatever shall I do?!

(You know how HTTP referrers work, right?)

Ha ha.

I think your little stuff is great. When I had your feed linked to externally, following the link would change the title of the post. Clever little touches like that make me grin. Very Happy

Yeah, I just like having fun. Apparently other peoples' ideas of fun is thinking they're hurting peoples' feelings or whatever. It's pretty pathetic, really.

I noticed one particular thread when I was trying to track down yet another security exploit on my Dreamhost account (sigh) and couldn't help but notice some referrals from a forum full of people who used to antagonize me on another nearly-dead forum and they are rather obsessed with me, judging by how many threads I'm brought up in. It's strangely flattering.
