Original entry: Taking stock
Duchess: We are near the landing site. Prepare for descent.
Womble: Yes, Duchess.
Announcer: And so, without further ado…
Duchess: Good afternoon, shareholders. It is my pleasure to address you all today.
Duchess: As you probably know., it has been ten years since my father left the corporation in my control.
Duchess: In that time, we have seen many successes, and many failures. Most of all, we have learned a lot.
Duchess: Now, please, please, please don’t get mad, but I spent all the money on an ice cream party.
Duchess: Unfortunately, nobody else showed up for it ‘cause I forgot to send out invitations, but it was lots of fun.
Duchess: So in summary, all your stock is now worthless.
[[The Duchess waves and the Womble drops its wig as the hot-air balloon lifts off.]]
Womble: Begging your pardon, Duchess, but who were those people?
Duchess: Heck if I know.
