Transformative Meditations to return?!?!

For some reason Spotify occasionally rebroadcasts the old episodes of my podcast and whenever they do a notification goes out to all RSS feeds (including the one that gets autoposted to my Mastodon feed). I don’t know why they do this, but it certainly has the effect of reminding me that I need to make more episodes. And hey, it’s nice how it gives more visibility to the original 6 episodes.

Anyway, that said, I’ve gotten a few prompts for episodes to make and also I’ve revisited my prompt list and I’m getting some amount of inspiration. No promises, but hopefully I’ll get to making these again soon. I miss doing it a lot.

I am of course always open to receive prompts from others! Especially if they want to do a commissioned episode.

Also, there’s been some questions about the platform the podcast is on. I just use Spotify for Podcasters (formerly Anchor FM) for my distribution, because it makes things pretty easy and I don’t have to bother with hosting. If I ever get a large enough listener base they also have tools to make it way easier for me to get ad revenue within the podcast (with paid subscriptions to go ad-free), and they handle the business side of that, which is something I absolutely do not want to deal with myself.

I am no fan of Spotify, but their podcasting platform at least is still open and syndicates to the other major podcast directories, including Apple, Amazon, IHeartRadio, and Google Podcasts. And of course you can also subscribe with whatever self-hosted RSS engine you want.

If the podcast ever becomes a source of income for me I’d consider moving to another platform, but for now Spotify is the least-bad option, so that’s where it’s hosted for now. But you can listen to it pretty much anywhere you can get podcasts.
