I am exceptionally busy with music right now, in a good way. In addition to improving my performance setup in advance of a couple of bigger mic-boosted shows, I’m also busy working on the game soundtrack, some music for some Trans Academy videos, and trying to think about working on my next major album, which I’ve been putting off for a while because I’ve been so busy.

I also need to finally finish getting my basement organized because it’s become quite a hassle to get around in there again, sigh.

VRChat

I’ve also been improving my VRChat avatar, with a thing I’d been putting off for a while. My private show on Friday finally gave me the motivation I needed to do this thing, because of the audience for said show. Hopefully all will be revealed in a public recording of said show very soon!

Cyclobenzaprine update

The cyclobenzaprine continues to be helpful, with some qualifications.

If I take it every day, it seems to build up in my system and makes me still feel its effects through much of the day, which isn’t optimal.

If I take it every other day, the day-long wobbliness isn’t an issue, but it means I’m also only sleeping well every other night.

Every night that I take it my mouth and throat also get very dry (this is a known side effect) and this can be very jarring in the morning, as well.

Right now I’m taking the maximum standard dose (10mg) and I think I’ll ask my doctor about reducing it to 5mg, to see if that helps to mitigate the negatives. Unfortunately cyclobenzaprine comes with a warning to not split pills, although from what I can find online it’s not due to any mode of action issue and just because there’s no scoring line meaning that the split might not be accurate.

Anyway tomorrow (well, later today I guess, oops hyperfocus led me to be up way later than I meant) I have a dentist appointment and that’ll be my first time driving while on this stuff, assuming I feel safe driving and don’t just walk there instead.
