Rambles that are fluffy, by fluffy
Remember how two years ago I got my bathroom remodeled and it turned into a ridiculous ordeal that lasted well over a month of me living in a hotel and, later, a temporary apartment due to the repeated incompetence of the workers involved? And then it eventually finished up and it was good enough? Aside from some later issues which were easily fixed by myself?
So, about that…
Oliver & co. left at around 3 PM, hopefully for good! (In a positive way, I mean.)
If all goes well, tomorrow will be the last day of remodeling, and it’ll be a pretty short one too!
Things are coming along well, and they’re almost done! Today’s focus was mostly-finishing the kitchen and starting the laundry room.
Today they actually mostly-finished the stuff they said they were going to do, and things are looking pretty swell. In particular, they did the spice shelves, the door handles, the baseboards, and the over-the-fridge cabinet.
On the subject of the cabinet door, Oliver says that there is one, he just keeps forgetting to bring it but it will arrive sometime soon.
On the subject of the button on my faucet, he had no idea about it and had no idea where it could have gone, and said it was probably lost forever. Then he noticed a little black round thing on the floor by the door and picked it up, and wouldn’t you know… it was the button! Phew.
I suppose I should do my daily dump of $INSERT_ALLITERATIVE_D_WORD_HERE
Another day of remodeling!
Today had some pretty big progress: countertops!
Not a lot of visible progress today, but a lot of progress has been made!
